Home Sweet Home

While we all had a great vacation; we were all glad to be home. The girls could not wait to share their stories with family and friends. They talked about their favorite rides the nice hotel and how Dad slept on the plane. We stopped at the Ameristar for a good Buffet meal before driving home from KCI. It was a rough return. It was 80 degrees and sunny when we left Orlando, but 34 and snowing when we landed in KC.

Hollywood Studios

Our final day of our vacation had us at Disney's Hollywood Studios. This was particularly fun for me because I was able to expose the girls to some older movies and TV shows with which they were unfamiliar. Shows like the Muppet Show and Alfred Hitchcock Presents and movies like Honey I Shrunk the Kids and Star Wars.

We all had a great time. We saw some shows and particularly like the Indiana Jones Stunt show. It is a must see.

This has been a spectacular vacation one that none of us will ever forget. And we did it at the right time.

Animal Kindgom

Our third day in Florida found us at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park. It was great fun and we got to see live animals too! We had breakfast with Mickey, Goofy, and Daisy Duck. We took a Safari and rode a great ride called Expedition Everest. We had lunch at the Rainforest Cafe in the park and continued the day at the park.

Later in the evening we went back to Downtown Disney and walked around see what amazing things were Downtown.

Magic Kingdom

Wow, this was an amazing day for all of us. We spend the morning at the Magic Kingdom which is every kids dream come true. We rode rides and got autographs from Disney characters. We had dinner at Planet Hollywood in Downtown Disney which is a must stop for young and old alike.

This was truly a magical day!

Arrival

The vacation has started off well. Abbriel was a little tense on the flight but it turned out well and I think she will be better on the flight home. She was just very nervous. They were both excited and energetic, but Dad was not. I feel asleep twice on the flight and the girls got a great kick out of that.

In Orlando, we visited some of the airport shops, ate, and picked up the rental car. Then we found our hotel. It is a fabulous resort and the girls are in love with it. They threw a fit about not being able to swim in the pool on day one. Instead we went to the Space Center and the beach. After we got back the girls took a long bath in the jetted tub. They are in love with this place.

Pretty Tired

We are all pretty tired after running around like crazy all weekend. We are just going to take it easy for the next couple of days and recover. Maybe I'll find some time to get some rest like the new pup.
