No its not Cinco de Mayo yet!!

Thursday was hat day at daycare and Adrienne wanted to take the hat that she got for her birthday at Chevy's. She loves the hat and is always looking for and excuse to wear it. You can see below that Abbriel is also enjoying her Hispanic heritage with a "burrito as big as her head". No I did not let her try to eat the Chipotle burrito. That is mine but she understands now that the burrito really is as big as your head. Abbriel had yet another day off from school on Monday and will have another on Friday of this week and yet another on the following Friday. I am running out of vacation time as fast as I earn it. It is all worth it to spend valuable days with my children.

The Sun Will Come Out...

The girls went to a play on Monday. That is right I was able to secure tickets to the play from the University and the girls and I got to go see a touring production of Annie. The show was quite good and the girls had a great time. Abbriel said it was great and wants to go see another play. Poor Adrienne though could not make it past intermission. She fell asleep on my lap at the beinging of the second act. I was glad to see they had a good time and I am thinking about taking them to the ballet. Swan Lake is coming to town on April 1st.

Adrienne and the Duck

Well, last weekend Abbriel went skiing with the girl scout troop and so I had no one else to take pictures of but Adrienne and her duck. Here we are at the bank and let me tell you Adrienne scored big that day. She made quite a hall of the suckers. The girl really has no shame it doesn't matter how many times we go into a bank in a given day she will always ask for a sucker. I think I found four sucker sticks in my car this week.

Abbriel said that she had a great time skiing and insisted that I take her back on Spring Break. What is wrong with that girl? Most people want to go to the beach for Spring Break not seek out more snow!

Both of the girls are off from school on Monday (President's Day) so you can count on me taking plenty of pictures. Maybe I'll shoot some video or get some audio to go with it. I was hoping to take the girls to see Annie on campus Monday but the box office says the show is sold out. Oh well, I am sure we can find something to do.

The Recorder Concert

Abbriel's recorder concert. She had been looking forward to this for sometime. The hours of practicing at home certainly paid off. ;)
