Abbriel

I just had to post a picture of Abbriel. I don't have any of her on the blog this month so I thought I would post this one. She is asking me to sign her up for softball this summer so I purchased a glove for her and we have been playing catch. She is getting better but has a ways to go still. She is still cheering for the Spider Monkeys but she is now watching them for technique and learning from them. Summer school is right around the corner and she and Adrienne are both signed up.

Happy Birthday Ryan!!

My friend Ryan is celebrating his birthday this week and had a surprise party on Saturday. I was in charge of distracting him so that the party could be set up at his place. We went to Aris' Pizza for lunch and had one of their wonderful pizzas. After the pizza we hurried to the movie theater to watch the newest Indiana Jones movie, The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. We made it back to the house just in time and Ryan was very surprised. I did not get to stick around long but I bet he had a great time.

Doing His Little Turn on the Catwalk

I don't know why but he did it. Here is John in his amateur modeling debut. He is very proud of this moment and invited his mother to attend. I'm no expert on these matters as it was the first modeling event that I have ever attended. He appeared to have a good time but I think he showed too much leg. You can't go wrong in Mizzou gear though and he was a hit. I was happy as I won a door prize at the event so I may make a return visit next year. May be next year we can talk Brandon, Lindsey, and Kristen into modeling.

Mizzou vs. Nebraska Baseball

Our friends, John and Melissa invited us to the final Mizzou home game for this year and we gladly accepted the invitation. For those that don't know this rivalry goes deeper than just football and like football we dominated this series. Winning all three games including the very convincing third game that we attended. The girls were allowed to run the bases after the game and below you see evidence of the rough play that hurt Adrienne's feelings. Here after rounding second some little boy pushed her down and she was very disappointed to finish last. Of course she blamed her sister but here is the culprit.

And the winner is!!

Here is the long awaited rematch at the Kids Klub House Grand Prix. Last year Adrienne lost a close race to a gloating, Madison Palmer. Don't let these two fool you. They may smile at each other but both are fierce competitors. Adrienne prevailed this year. It may be the new sponsor for her car this year. Hanna Montana found a way to pull herself from embarrassing photo shoots and sponsored Adrienne's car. No offense to the University of Missouri but Hanna is just more popular with young people these days.

To celebrate her victory we went and watched the new Narnia movie Prince Caspian.

The Squirrel Returns

The squirrel is back and this time closer to my apartment than ever before. I am very concerned that I may come home next month and find him rummaging through my cabinets. I can see the villain eating my pasta salad and snarling at me.

Cinco de Mayo

This is one of my favorite holidays. I don't have an the heritage to celebrate Saint Patricks Day and frankly I don't have the stomach any more for religious holidays but I can get into Cinco de Mayo. Adrienne and I are eager to celebrate our Hispanic heritage with good food. The restaurant was busy but we got a table and ate good food. Adrienne made out like a bandito with the stylish pepper trinket.

Oh, and the Spider Monkeys won their first game. Very good stuff.
